TRANSFORMATIONAL TATTOOING
I am here to hold the torch while you cross the threshold,
to witness what no longer belongs to you,
and to welcome your Truth that remains.
I am Emerson,
a visionary artist, tattooist, Human Design analyst, alchemist, and facilitator of transformational experiences based in Reno, Nevada.
For more than five years, I have cultivated a process that bridges tattooing, Human Design, conversational NLP, pranayama, meditation, intuitive energy/somatic work, and ritual to create deeply personal ceremonies of embodiment.
Using your Human Design chart as a map, I guide you through a process of self-remembrance and self-understanding, designed to anchor your Truth into your body.
Each tattoo is created as a living symbol of a threshold crossed, a lesson integrated, and a life consciously chosen.
My training includes five years of dedicated alchemical tattoo practice, certification as a Human Design analyst, a 200-hour mindfulness-based and trauma-informed yoga teacher training, and advanced studies in conversational NLP and Human Design Hypnotherapy.
SHARED RESPONSIBILITY
please read
Before moving forward, I ask that you take a moment to read the following carefully.
This work is deeply personal. It asks for honesty, courage, self-reflection, and a willingness to take responsibility for your own experience. While I will guide, support, and hold space throughout the process, I cannot do the work for you.
My role is not to tell you who you are.
My role is to help you remember.
What I am not
I am not a licensed physician, psychologist, therapist, psychiatrist, attorney, or financial adviser.
Although aspects of this work may feel therapeutic, it should not be considered a substitute for professional medical care, mental health treatment, or legal advice.
I do not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, predict the future, guarantee outcomes, or claim to have all the answers.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your own choices, interpretations, actions, decisions, and integration process.
You are responsible for communicating openly, establishing healthy boundaries, seeking additional support when necessary, and determining whether this work is aligned with your needs.
The insights that emerge throughout this process belong to you.
What you choose to do with them also belongs to you.
Projection, expectation, and responsibility
Transformation can be beautiful, challenging, liberating, and, at times, uncomfortable.
Throughout this process, emotions, memories, fears, hopes, desires, frustrations, and expectations may arise. It is natural to project these experiences onto the people around us, particularly those who occupy positions of trust, guidance, authority, or care.
I ask that we both approach this work with honesty, humility, compassion, and clear communication.
I am not your savior.
I am not your villain.
I am another human being walking beside you for a brief period of time.
Human Design and projection
Within Human Design, certain profiles are often associated with strong projection fields. This simply means that other people may unconsciously place expectations, assumptions, hopes, fears, or ideals upon them.
These projections can be positive or negative, but they remain projections nonetheless.
For this reason, I encourage every client to trust their own intuition, remain grounded in their own experience, and remember that no teacher, guide, system, or practice should ever replace their own inner authority.
Transformation is not a guarantee
This process does not guarantee financial success, healing, happiness, enlightenment, improved relationships, personal breakthroughs, or any specific outcome.
Each person arrives with a different history, a different body, and a different story.
The work you receive will ultimately depend upon the work you are willing to do.
The tattoo is not the transformation.
The tattoo is the evidence.
The work begins long before the needle touches the skin, and it continues long after the final mark has been made.
ALCHEMICAL CONTAINERS
:::
ALCHEMICAL CONTAINERS :::
The Threshold
The Threshold is a standalone ceremonial tattoo experience designed for those standing at the edge of transformation. Guided by your Human Design chart, we use breath, ritual, meditation, conversational NLP, and freehand tattooing to create a lasting symbol of the truth that remains when everything that is not you falls away.
Most people know when they've arrived at the threshold.
The question is whether they are willing to cross it.
The Transformation
The tattoo is not the transformation.
It is the moment your transformation becomes visible.
Over the course of four to six weeks, we move through a guided process of discovery, release, embodiment, and remembrance. Through Human Design, hypnotherapy, ritual, and tattoo ceremony, we uncover the Truth of who you are, release what no longer belongs to you, envision your future, and anchor that truth into the body itself.
This is not about becoming someone new.
It is about remembering who you have been all along.
Transformation asks for more than intention.
It asks for devotion.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
A transformational tattoo is a guided process that combines Human Design, hypnotherapy, meditation, intentional design, and tattooing into a single experience.
Rather than focusing exclusively on the tattoo itself, we explore the stories, patterns, beliefs, and intentions that give meaning to the work.
The tattoo is not the transformation.
It is the moment the transformation becomes visible.
-
This work is for people who feel called toward a deeper relationship with themselves.
Many of the people I work with are artists, entrepreneurs, creators, healers, and individuals moving through significant periods of transition, but no artistic experience is necessary.
If you feel as though you are standing at a threshold, you are exactly where you need to be.
-
No.
Your chart simply provides us with another language through which we can better understand your patterns, strengths, challenges, and natural way of moving through the world.
-
Human Design is a system that combines principles from astrology, the I Ching, the chakra system, the Kabbalah, and modern science to create a map of an individual's natural tendencies, gifts, challenges, and patterns.
Within this process, Human Design is not used to tell you who you are.
Instead, it serves as a tool for reflection and understanding. It gives us a common language through which we can explore your experiences, identify recurring patterns, and establish a clearer intention for the work ahead.
I don't believe your chart determines your destiny.
I believe it offers another way of understanding yourself.
-
NLP, or Neuro-Linguistic Programming, explores the relationship between thoughts, emotions, language, behaviors, and the unconscious mind.
Throughout our lives, we create associations between particular experiences and the emotions connected to them. These associations influence the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and move through the world.
By bringing awareness to those patterns, we can begin to create new ones.
Within this work, I use conversational NLP techniques to help clients identify limiting beliefs, cultivate greater self-awareness, and strengthen the connection between intention and action.
-
Hypnotherapy is a guided process that helps create a state of deep relaxation and focused awareness, allowing us to work more directly with the unconscious mind.
One of the techniques I use is known as anchoring.
Anchoring is based upon the understanding that emotions and experiences are often connected to particular sensations, thoughts, memories, environments, sounds, movements, and symbols.
A familiar song can transport us back to a particular moment in our lives. A certain scent can evoke a memory we haven't thought about in years. Our bodies are constantly creating these associations.
Together, we intentionally create new associations connected to the qualities you wish to strengthen within yourself. Through breath, imagery, movement, ritual, touch, symbols, and intention, we establish a conscious relationship with these experiences so they can be more easily accessed in the future.
In many ways, the tattoo itself becomes a living reminder of the work that has already taken place.
The transformation happens within the person.
The tattoo becomes the anchor.
-
No.
Although this process may feel deeply therapeutic, I am not acting as a licensed physician, psychologist, or mental health professional. This work is intended to support self-exploration and personal growth and should not be considered a substitute for professional care.
-
No.
Because this work is deeply personal, I intentionally keep my calendar limited so that I can devote my full attention to each client. Not every person, tattoo, or situation will be the right fit.
-
The effects of this work may remain with you for the rest of your life.
The insights you uncover, the patterns you release, the decisions you make, and the ways in which you choose to move forward are uniquely your own. While our time together may influence the course of your life, our container together is intentionally finite.
My role is to guide, support, and witness you throughout the process we have agreed upon.
My role is not to become your long-term therapist, counselor, mentor, coach, or primary source of emotional support after our work together has concluded.
Transformation is an ongoing process, and every individual is responsible for their own choices, actions, healing, and integration. If additional support is needed beyond the scope of our work together, I encourage you to seek the appropriate resources, practitioners, and communities that can best support you.
The work may last a lifetime.
Our container will not.
-
How do I know which container is right for me?
Every journey begins with an application and consultation.
Together, we will discuss the intentions behind your tattoo, the scope of the piece itself, the depth of transformation you feel called toward, and the level of support that feels most aligned with your needs.
Threshold experiences are designed for those who feel called toward a single ceremonial tattoo experience. These containers offer a focused and intentional process that unfolds within the course of a single day.
Awakening, Remembering, and Rebirth are designed for those who wish to explore a deeper and more extensive process over the course of several weeks. These containers combine Human Design, hypnotherapy, ritual, intentional design, tattooing, and integration support into a more immersive experience.
You do not need to know exactly where you belong.
That is what the consultation is for.
